SILVER JEANS : Semi-conversely, I believe that low-rise pants work on virtually anyone. Ihave a relatively thick waist compared to my hips, and I look best inlow-rise pants. My favorite low rise pants are morgan de toi and zara.I've also had great luck with Liz C. Not so great luck with Levi's.Addressing my pet peeve...all together now: "the problem is not the smallwaist/big hips, it's the pants." ;-)--Suzanne"Fashion is not important, but one's appearance is important" - DianaVreelandI had very good luck with Liz Claiborne khaki pants with pleats. Theyhad lots of room for my hips, but the waist was small compared to what Ifound with other brands. Their jeans are cut similarly, but becausethey have no pleats aren't as roomy in the hips, but I still found thefit better than others. However, and completely off-topic -- I've gained something like 3" in mywaist (only--nowhere else) in the past year. Went from Liz Claibornesize 6 pants to 10's that I still can't button comfortably. I'm 45 andchalked it up to middle age, but recently found out that I have a bunchof whopper uterine fibroids. So, ladies, if your stomach startspooching out a lot for no apparent reason, get thee to a doc before Idid. Even Pilates can't hold back the force of these evil growths.
SILVER JEANS : If you don't mind trendier styles, Parasuco and Silver jeans always workfor me. I really, really like Parasuco's Engineered Strech Jeans. Theyare low-rise and boot cut which works for me. They come in 28, 30, 32and 34 inseams which is also a big plus.Silver Jeans are also good. I don't find them as flattering, but theyare cheaper than Parasucos and the like.A note to those with access: TJ Maxx and Marshalls often have Parasucosfor what I'm guessing is a pretty good discount. If I remember correctly, Zena and Gap reverse fit jeans are pretty goodfor small waist/large hip types. Well, they're good for larger thighs, which isn't the same thing (but they may work for hips as well by beingcut larger in that general area).-Alison, shaped wide and flat, with no noticeable waist, hips, or rear butplenty of thigh (and liking Gap long and lean jeans right now) SILVER JEANS : I am fairly tall (5' 8") and thin. I am trying to find a pair of jeans thatfit! I've tried Express, but those aren't long enough, and they're too loosein the seat/backside area for me. I've also tried GAP which still bunches inthe backside. I have a pair of LEI stretch jeans, and those seem to fit thebest out of all of them. They are plenty long, and they don't bunch in theback. They fit well, but the only problem is...they're a little too tight inthe seat...they're size 11, which is much bigger than I would normallywear...but they're still a little too tight. I'd like some advice on whatbrands (under $50 if possible) that would work for tall, thin people. I wantthem to fit snug (but not extremely tight) and be plenty long so that when Isit down and cross my legs, you don't see my socks!---------------------------------------- For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoeverbelieves in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16------------------------------------ ---- SILVER JEANS : Silver jeans come in diffferent sizes up to 34 or 35 length, my cousin is 5'8"and very thin and these are the only jeans that she can find to fit her. i'veonly seen them at maurices and nordstroms. or you can go to their websiteI went there, but the website for was some sort of investmentfirm. Is that the right address?Have you tried Target's Xhilaration jeans? I'm only 5' 3", but the size 3'sI got at Le Chez Target are long enough that I have to roll them up a bit.I'm over 6' and pretty skinny and order my jeans and pants from either JCrewcatalog or Victoria's Secret catalog. Both come in lengths up to 34" or 35"inseam and as small as a size 2, and esp. the VS ones are not cut too widein the hips or rear, (helpful since I have neither), no gaps in the upperthigh either. Maybe a little more than you'd like to spend ($48-68), butthey fit really well.HTH SILVER JEANS : I'm not as tall as you (only 5'6") but I take a 34" inseam. I find that onlyLevi's fit me well. I have a smallish waist, normal hips I guess and almostno butt, so my problem is that most brands gap at the waist or bag at thebutt or are too short. Levi's come in a long length, although they can behard to find if you're a small size.Gap Original Fit. I am also 5'8" and around 125 lbs. and these fit perfectlyin size 4 Long (I'm not a size 4 in any other clothing, only in these). They're still a bit looser in the butt than I would like but they fitbeautifully right after they're washed each time.I can't swear that nobody will see your socks when you sit, but they couldn'tbe much longer than that without hitting the sidewalk when you're standing up. $48 last time I bought some, don't know if price is still the same.
