LEE JEANS : Yeah, I didn't know this either. I'd love a pair of the Levis button upones, cut for women, in my size (24 or 26, but it's been so long, Idon't remember how they size jeans). Do they exist?Oh, they do make them in big sizes, up to a US size 28. That is, if you canfind them...BTW, the ones I'm looking for are called "relaxed fit" and have no elasticin the waist... Tragedy of tragedies...ok, maybe not that bad, but another pain in the patoot. I found out this weekend that the chain of stores that had been wonderfully reliably carrying Lee jeans in women's sizes has replaced them with a vastly inferior brand - cheap, thin denim - but are still charging the same amount. And the new brand doesn't fit worth a darn to boot. So I'm in search of another supplier of Lee jeans. I have the catalog list that is posted here semi-regularly (thanks!), but before I start working my way through the list, has anyone seen Lee (or Levi, for that matter) jeans in any of the catalogs? Or know of any other suppliers?

Granted,everything about these ads are cool, from the black-and-white (evocativeof the halcyon days of the Gap ads) to the crisp dialogue; hey, these aresome of the few commercials I've seen which are actually funny. Gorgeous tanned man pulling weeds in theladies yard, and he pulls off his shirt becasue it is so hot (here iswhere I melt), then she blows some dandilion seeds out into the lawn, andhe looks over at them as they settle on the ground. (presumably, so thathe will have to come back to pull weeds again)
LEE JEANS : I have found that for my particular shape both Lee and JC Penny's "Hunt Club"jeans fit really well. You can definately get Hunt Club jeans mail order fromPenny's and they may carry Lee too.Are the legs full or tapered? I have a big stomach, small waist and(gasp!) skinny legs, so I have trouble with the legs being too baggy.I have just the opposite problem--I'm heavy on top, large waisted, and relativelysmall through the bum and thighs. If I get a large enough size to fit me in thewaist, the thighs are positively huge on me and the butt is baggy.Some of the only pants I've found that fit are men's sizes, and other than plainlevi's, which look awfully butch on me, the styles just aren't appropriate.If any of you know of a women's brand that is cut small through the hips andthighs, let me know. I wear a 26 for the waist, but an 18-20 fits me in thehips. I'm 5'10" and about 250. Right now I'm wearing a men's 42--and notfeeling very stylish about it!
