BLUE CULT JEANS : I sooo want to find the Blue Cult simple basic 5 pocket jeans in thestretch, but I've only been able to find the semi-stretch ones and they justaren't comfy enough for me. I've only found the true stretch pair withoutthe back pockets and hate that style. However, they are so comfortable andthe fit is fabulous. You might want to try GAP boot cut stretch jeans (dark deninm) -I am wider inthe hip/thigh area and I have been able to find this brand to fit me (for somereason the dark wash fit great, but in the lighter shade they seemed tight inthe same or next size).I think GAP jeans run short, med and tall - I'm not sure if the short would fityou but someone I know has taken several pair of jeans to the cleaners to hemand they did a good job on them.Try Adriano Goldschmied's AG Cupids! They don't have any pockets on theback which helps streamline the look. Easily hemmable. Love the fit andfeel of these.
BLUE CULT JEANS : Sevens run big, imo and have plenty of room. The ones I have arecotton/lycra. Lix Jeans usually have about 4% spandex and imo some have a little extra seat room. Some are boot cut. Polo Ralph Lauren Sport makes dark rinse stretch denim jeans."I base my fashion on what doesn't itch" Gilda RadnerI picked up a pair of Red Engine jeans from Century 21 recently, andthey've fast become my favorite jeans. Low rise (but not as low asSevens which are a weenie bit too low for my womanly hips)andflattering. On 5/17/03 6:11 PM, in article "Popnrockjeanine" wrote:I'm going to muddy the waters by offering my $0.02. I'm petite w/proportionally short legs. I have thighs and rear but no hips. Gap's lowrise stretch modern bootcut jeans in ankle length are my holy grail jeans.A close second are Halogen stretch jeans (found at Nordstroms). I also likeExpress bikini cut stretch jeans, but I dislike the lack of back pockets.Earl jeans in 44x fit my hips and thighs, but they gaped at the back (whichindicate that my rear was too big for the style). PD&C didn't fit my waisteither. I've never tried Mossimo b/c I dislike fading/whiskers. BLUE CULT JEANS : I finally tried on a pair of these. They look, fit, and feel incredible.I'm going back to Nordstrom to get these!any place else besides nordies carrying these? my lemming is stirring....--kel"A new dress doesn't get you anywhere; its the life you're living in thedress."--Diana VreelandSomebody mentioned Urban Outfitters earlier... An unlikely place for suchexpensive jeans, I must say!what is the price point of blue cult jeans? urban outfitters carries some more"upscale" denim, including diesel, and the pricier washes of the levis ultralow, so it wouldn't be that much of a shock if they carried $130 jeans.selena********************************** ******if fashion is your tradethen when you're nakedi guess you must be unemployedMy Levi's ultra-low were $48.00. The Blue Cult I tried on are $112.00.a lot of the levis ultra low w/ special washes/finishes can run up to 100$. the first two pairs i ever purchased from barneys were 90$ each. selena********************************** ******if fashion is your tradethen when you're nakedi guess you must be unemployed BLUE CULT JEANS : You can check their website for locations, I think. If not, try emailingtheir customer service. They were very helpful in providing locations. Ibought mine through Barneys (before I received an email that they wereavailable locally at two nice boutiques). I also found it strange thatsomeone saw them at Urban Outfitters. Maybe they were knockoffs? When Melanie Chang said that her Sevens fit far better than the Blue Cultfor her, I thought I had judged wrong in the battle of the designer jeans.I think Melanie and I have a similar body type - very slim hips and thighs. So today at Nordstrom I tried on Sevens and Blue Cult again. Both in thesame size, belt loops and back pockets. I have to say the Blue Cult arebetter in every way for me. The Blue Cult are more fitted in the thighsthan the Sevens, and the BC just fit like a glove everywhere. The Blue Cultdenim is lighter weight, so they are more comfortable. And I liked the BCwash better. The Sevens seemed to go white to dark, top to bottom. TheBlue Cult wash is more subtle. BLUE CULT JEANS : Well, the people over at Barneys really did a bang-up job with this order! As I mentioned in an earlier post, I read about these jeans through mydailycandynyc.com email, and just had to have them when they were heraldedas the latest It jeans. Since DCNY provided Barneys and their phone number,I called them right up and ordered them sight unseen (except for the tinyphoto provided in the email) and jeans un-tried on! The SA who answered thephone was a super helpful gentleman and told me he had "the perfect pair"that I would love. They arrived yesterday via UPS and I tore open the box and pulled them on asfast as I could. These jeans, I was told, were supposed to fit like Sevens, but even better. The verdict? HECK YAH! These fit me like a *glove* (almost to the pointthat it looks like they are painted on my body), but do the wonderful job ofnot gapping in the back, and making my butt look shapely, lifted, and firm!!;) (just like Daily Candy promised they would). Best of all, they help mylegs look long and slim--my #1 requirement when buying jeans.
