I've never really posted to this group before, but I'd like to say thatyou're right. Plus I think baggy jeans on girls is too 'boyish'. Butit's the girl's choice, but I do have to agree with you in that girls lookbetter in body-fitting clothing. However, on the other point, I think tight jeans on guys looks prettydumb. I wear loose jeans (but not those crotch-at-the-knees jeans). I think style is pretty dumb and people should do their own thing. I lovethat viewpoint by the way. Neutral.I think baggy jeans are out of style only for mainstream America. They can do what they want since they are biting our style. hip hop will always be respresented by baggy clothes or designer clothes (like Tommy Hilfiger and Armani and Chanel and Polo and Versace...) Hip hop will never stop (wearing baggy jeans) and the USA will. It doesn't matter coz hip hop will always live like Hot 97 in NY.

BAGGY JEANS : Ok here's what I was told.When guys go to prison they take their belts away. If their pants areloose, their pants will hang down so their boxers show. In CA, kidsstarted wearing their pants hanging down so the underwear shows so itlooked like they had been to prison and never put a belt back on. Thenit spread.I don't, personally, think looking like you have served time is a goodthing. But afaict it seems to be about these kids wanting to appeartough to each other. Anyways, SEVERAL times I saw people trip and fall on their facesbecause their jeans were too baggy, too pulled down, and way too long.Luckily none of them got hurt, and I tell ya it was the funniest site tosee. I guess you had to have been there.

If I'm wearingbaggy jeans, I can rollerblade to class, change into Nikes, sit indian-styleat my desk, move onto the floor when it's time to work with thepre-schoolers, rollerblade to the next class....You can move around and not worry about:A.) your pants rippingB.) your pants getting tightin in the *wrong* placesC.) the guys checking you out when A or B occurs.OR - the arguement is that it shows off the top half more. Since most womenhave heavier bottom-halves, you can wear baggy jeans and a tight shirt andaccentuate your strong parts even more.
